Hello, friends! It’s Friday night and its time for me to be honest with you. I haven’t spent much time developing recipes this week. I’ve been working on developing some of my other skills that I have been working to improve throughout the whole blogging process. It has also been hot and summer-y here, so I’ve also been trying to take advantage of the sunshine with some time outside. I took these pictures while sitting outside earlier this week because I was enjoying the sunshine! It’s one of my favourite summer drinks. It’s wildly refreshing and totally delicious – Refreshing Cucumber Lemon Infused Water!
This cucumber lemon infused water is the perfect healthy option to satisfy all of your cool drink cravings. You no longer need to turn to sugar filled beverages but you don’t feel like you’re drinking plain old water. I hear so many people complaining about how they just don’t like the taste of water. This is your solution!
It’s important to note that you can enjoy this water in your fridge for about three days. After this, the cucumber and lemon start to look a little bit less appealing. The lemon rind will also start to impart a bitter flavour to the water, and its no longer very enjoyable. I enjoy lots of lemon in my water, so I make sure to add lots of lemon juice, but if you prefer less just leave out some lemon juice. I also find that you can reuse your cucumber one time or top up the pitcher twice if everyone is enjoying your water!
- ½ cucumber
- 1 lemon
- 1 Pitcher of water
- Ice cubes
- Slice or spiralize cucumber.
- Cut lemon in half.
- Slice half of the lemon and squeeze the other half into the water. (If you don't like strong lemon water, leave the lemon juice out and use it for something different.)
- Place sliced lemon and cucumber in the pitcher.
- Fill with water and ice cubes.
- Keep in fridge up to 3 days.
